Grootberg Lodge

The friendly staff at the lodge are all employed from the community and well-empowered to perform their various duties. Our guests are hosted in genuine local hospitality complimented by excellent food. The waitresses and bar tender are always ready to serve and assist where needed. Our certified masseuses offer a wide range of massages on request.
The Grootberg Lodge is managed on behalf of the community by Journeys Namibia, who provides training, specialist staff and other infrastructure to the lodge.

Accommodation

• 14 twin and 2 family rock and thatch chalets gaze out over the Klip River Valley where Black Eagles are a regular sight — hunting just below your private deck
• Two family units provide enough space for parents and two children to share comfortably
• Each room has a shower, toilet and washbasin complimented with the necessary amenities
• The rooms each have a writing desk, bedside lamps and a small deck in front of the unit
• Small coffee and tea station are provided with hot water flasks (refill available at main area).

Massages & Treatments

Indian Head Massage (1/2 Hour) N$250.00
The treatment promotes relaxation, relieves tension, jetlag and other benefits and improves blood circulation to the brain
Back, Neck And Shoulder Massage (1/2 For N$250.00, 45Min For N$ 300 Or 1 Hour N$ 350)
A Swedish massage is used during the treatment to help calm, relax and relieve sore muscles.
Full Body Massage (1 And ½ Hour) N$500.00
A Swedish massage used for draining away fatigue, relieving swelling, reducing muscle tension, and promoting flexibility.
Foot Rub (1/2 Hour) N$250.00
There’s no better way to treat your sore feet to a wonderful foot massage after a long power walk.

RATES

Valid 01 January to 31 December 2017
Rates include 15% VAT & 1% Bed Levy
Rates are based on Dinner – Bed – Breakfast (DBB)

 

Single Supplement fee is waived between 15 Nov to 15 July

The following cancellation policy will apply to confirmed bookings

  • 45 – 31 days before travel 25% cancellation fee
  • 30 – 16 days before travel 50% cancellation fee
  • 15 – 0 days or no show 90% cancellation fee
  • No show – 100% cancellation fee

Travel Insurance is a requirement for all clients who plan to go on safari.

  1. a)  Child policy.
  • Children under 12 sharing with parents – N$700.00 ( dinner, bed and breakfast)
  • Children under 6 sharing with parents – FOC
  1. b)      Pilot, guide and travel agent policy.
  • Where possible we will always try to first accommodate the pilots and guides in the lodge. When the lodge is fully booked, we will make use of our guide accommodation.
  • The rate for pilots and guides is N$700.00 per guide/pilot per night ( dinner, bed and breakfast)
  • This rate of N$700.00 is normally also applicable for any requests for accommodation for tour operators and travel agents. PLEASE first confirm this with the office.
