Arrive Windhoek

Windhoek to Sossusvlei area
Accommodation: Dead Valley Lodge
A substantial south-westbound travel day with unhurried landscape stops as conditions allow.
Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei landscapes
Accommodation: Dead Valley Lodge
An early desert day among red dunes, the white clay pan and Dead Vlei’s ancient dark trees, shaped around light, access conditions and guest pace.
Sossusvlei area to Swakopmund
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund
Treat the route to the Atlantic as a proper travel day, with stops selected by the guide for conditions and daylight.
Swakopmund and the central coast
Accommodation: Strand Hotel Swakopmund
A flexible coast day. A full-day dolphin cruise and Sandwich Harbour combination is optional, normally shared unless a private operation is quoted, and controlled by weather, tides and the operator.
Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe
Accommodation: Spitzkoppen Lodge
Travel inland to Spitzkoppe and preserve the later afternoon for warm light moving across the granite.
Spitzkoppe to Damaraland
Accommodation: Mowani Mountain Camp
Continue into Damaraland as a dedicated travel day and settle for two consecutive nights.
Full Damaraland day
Accommodation: Mowani Mountain Camp
Optional specialist desert-adapted elephant tracking can be requested; Twyfelfontein may be considered if timing permits. Both require confirmation, and wildlife encounters are never guaranteed.
Damaraland to Ongava
Accommodation: Ongava Lodge
Travel via Khorixas and Outjo with a daylight arrival as the priority. A game drive is considered only if confirmed timing allows.
Private Etosha day
Accommodation: Ongava Lodge
Explore Etosha in the private Namvic vehicle, allowing patient time at waterholes when the light and wildlife reward it. Separate Ongava reserve activities are lodge-operated only, optional and quoted separately; the Namvic vehicle and guide are not automatically permitted to operate on the private reserve.
Return to Windhoek and depart
This is a substantial return journey. A same-day late flight is proposed only after working backwards from daylight travel and airport check-in; otherwise an extra Windhoek night sits outside this 11-day/10-night proposal.

- !Long sectors are treated as proper travel days. The route does not add out-of-route Cape Cross or Brandberg detours.
- !Accommodation, room categories, meal plans, services, excursions and sequencing remain requests until suppliers confirm them in writing. Nothing shown online is a booking.
