Three day Sossusvlei Excursion
This short trip to the dunes of Sossusvlei dunes will certainly a bit a weekend you will never forget. Camping inside the Namib Naukluft National Park will give you access to the dunes one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset, allowing you to see the dunes at the best times of day. Your guide will provide lots of information on how this unique landscape was created. Many activities are possible in this area, such as climbing Dune 45 or Big Daddy, visiting Deadvlei and Sossusvlei and even descending into the Sesriem Canyon. Do as many of these as you would like accompanied by your Namvic guide.
Accommodation: Two nights camping at Sesriem Campsite in the Namib Naukluft National Park
Day 1:
Your guide will come to your guesthouse or hotel in Windhoek between 8 and 9am on Friday morning. Start the day by travelling over the Khomas Highlands towards the Namib Desert. Enjoy a picnic lunch stop at Solitaire. Solitaire is famous for its apple pie and old cars. End your day setting up camp and eating under the stars in the Namib Naukluft National Park. Early bed tonight as tomorrow you have a very early start to go into the Dunes for the morning.
Campsite: Sesriem Campsite. Basis: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2:
Your guide will wake you up early this morning to head further into the national park and discover more of the dunes. Breakfast will be prepared by your guide in the dunes. You will go to both Sossusvlei and Deadvlei and you can even attempt to climb Big Daddy, a dune that is about 350m high! Lastly you will visit Sesriem Canyon before a picnic lunch. Relax in the afternoon after a very early and active morning. Enjoy the swimming pool in one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world.

Day 3:
After breakfast this morning you will pack up the camp and head back towards Windhoek. You will stop on the way for a picnic lunch. The day will end when your guide drops you off at your accommodation in Windhoek in the afternoon.

This tour departs Windhoek every Friday and returns on Sunday afternoon.
INFORMATION:
• For 2 people we use one of our double cab 4×4 vehicles and for groups of more than 3 people we use one of our safari vehicles.
• This is a limited participation tour and you will only be required to put up your tent, your guide will handle the rest.
• Collection time at your accommodation is between 8am and 9am.
• You will be back in windhoek late afternoon.
• This tour can be done staying in lodges, enquire with one of our consultants.
